I drew this last September to test out the new tablet I got from monoprice.com. What better test than some Rainbow Dash? The drivers are a little temperamental at times, but you simply cannot beat $40 for a 10"x6.25" tablet these days. If you want one on the cheap, I totally recommend them.

Oh, and I realized a few days later that the clouds look like an angry face. :( Kinda like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow man. Or something. I should fix that.

Hey, I have that tablet! I always recommend it to people when they ask for suggestions but with one exception, they always end up going with a more expensive one. :P The monoprice tablet also has twice the pressure sensitivity as the cheaper bamboos.

I love your artwork! Although I'm a big Dash fan, I think the Princess Celestia and Applebloom pictures are actually my favorites.

Thank you for taking the time to comment! My old tablet had a wobbly pen nub, so I couldn't really do straight, flowing lines like the ones in her mane before. Once I realized I could I ran with it. Glad you like the result.

You know its been years since I've used this account and I had to get on to ask: why do so many people who draw rainbowdash reverse her cutie mark? I see it everywhere, and it kind of pet-peeves me out.

Well, it happens. Sometimes I forget the cutie marks altogether. I tend to fuss over coloring so much that I don't check a reference image for little things like that. Either way, I can easy go back and flip it at a later time, ha. This is why the digital art gods made layers.

Thanks for pointing it out, though--otherwise I wouldn't have even noticed!
